You may have noticed his signs around town calling him a “Christian, far-right” candidate for Covington City Commission.
Well, before the state informed him that his signs needed to indicate who paid for them, and since they didn’t, they had to be removed.
His name is Clayton Shull, and he first caused a stir at The River City News Facebook page when an article was published noting his criticism of city policies that were inclusive of gay people.Â
In a follow-up interview with RCN’s Michael Monks, Shull reinforces his opposition to homosexuality, abortion, and Hillary Clinton. But on local municipal issues, he has a lot to learn — which he admits. Shull was unable to identify South Covington or any of the city’s pools. He has no position on where the new City Hall should be located. He doesn’t vote in local elections.
He also doesn’t attend church – which may seem odd for a “Christian, far-right” candidate. Shull explains in the interview.Â
