NEWPORT — Ready for a little
social ribbing with friends and family?
Dick’s Last Resort, where
sarcasm in fun is always on the menu along with the food, will open March 11 at
Newport on the Levee.
The national chain that
brands itself as “The Joint Yer Mama Warned You About” will anchor the corner
of Third and Saratoga streets at the Levee. It will be open for lunch, dinner
and late into the night.
“We are extremely excited
about serving and becoming a part of the Newport, Northern Kentucky and Greater
Cincinnati community,” Dick’s President and COO Ralph W. McCracken stated
Monday in a press release.
Servers will audition for
their jobs, which are also a role, McCracken told the Enquirer. The restaurant
serves one-of-a-kind drinks such as “Trash Can Punch,” appetizers including
Wicked Gator Tail and a full menu of freshly prepared dishes.

FTM will be there to give you the scoop before it opens. Dick’s Last Resort will be located in the former Bulldog’s location, which was owned by Attorney Eric Deters.
Bulldog’s Roadhouse (16% on Urban Spoon, 1.5 stars on Yelp) closed in 2010 and has been empty since then.
