Jared Lorenzen is back at quarterback for the NKY Rivermonsters. In 2011 in the span of 5 months, he quit his job as GM of a team in a league, became that team’s QB, became that league’s MVP, and then was named its commissioner. #FTMFamily member, Beacon Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine are the teams’ doctors.

After the final whistle sounded, The Northern Kentucky Rivermonsters topped the Bluegrass Warhorses 36-20 in Lexington last night.

What happened in between the lines during the game almost broke the Internet nationwide as the picture of a well-fed Lorenzen waiting for the coin toss that we posted on Facebook last night began trending nationwide.

On twitter, “Jared Lorenzen” was trending worldwide. Everyone from sports commenter Jim Rome (No joke. JL is the most agile fat man I’ve ever seen. Incredible. .) to Bleacher Report to SB Nation penned their 140 characters on the agility and incredible ability Lorenzen still has at the quarterback position.

KentuckySportsRadio.com Owner Matt Jones and CN2’s Thomas Beisner remembered their favorite memory of Lorenzen simultaneously: (My favorite fact…at halftime of games in college (at UK), he drank Mountain Dew. No that’s serious…he drank Mountain Dew)

Lorenzen was 23-37, 183 yards, 3 TDs, 3 INT in the game last night.
