The 10th annual “Boom on the Bridge” event and Purple People Bridge closure is returning on Aug. 31 for the Riverfest fireworks.
To accommodate the event, the Purple People Bridge will be closed to through traffic starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31, and will reopen at 2 a.m. on Sept. 1.
Now in its 10th year, Boom on the Bridge is the most unique way to experience the Riverfest fireworks, up close and center from the Purple People Bridge. This annual fundraiser delivers an exclusive experience that includes:
- Music by DJ TAVX
- Dinner from City BBQ
- Local spirits by Wenzel Whiskey
- Local beer from West 6th Brewing
- Local desserts from Cookiefection
- Local Snacks from The Pretzel Place
- Parking at Newport on the Levee
