Covington officially welcomed a new project director to its staff this week.
Elizabeth Wetzel joined the city to replace Andrew Wilhoite, who left to take a job in Frankfort.
“Covington has a strong history and identity, yet looks to the future,” Wetzel said in a recent city press release. “Since moving to the Cincinnati area 21 years ago, I have admired this city from across the river, particularly over the recent decade as The Cov has stood up and claimed its place as the place to be and grow. I am excited to become part of that story and help realize its bright future.”
Wetzel’s background includes working with the City of Cincinnati to implement initiatives between local governments and community members, as well as a police body-camera program. She’s also worked with the University of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Metro Housing Authority and several economic development companies.
