Hardware retailer Lowe’s donated several items to the Enzweiler Building Institute, a Northern Kentucky-based skilled trades school, to enhance hands-on training for students.

The donated items were valued at over $5,000. Items donated by Lowe’s include:

  • 2×4 large lumber package
  • three 18-volt Metabo Cordless Driver Drills
  • three 18-volt Metabo Cordless Impact Drills
  • one 18-volt Metabo Cordless Reciprocating Saw
  • one 18-volt Metabo Cordless Multi-Tool
  • Batteries and charging stations for all tools

The donation will go toward supplying the school’s high school and adult students, both of which rely on access to quality tools and materials.

“Lowe’s continues to be a champion for workforce development and the future of skilled trades,” Enzweiler Building Institute President Brian Miller said in a press release. “This donation not only provides critical resources for our students but also serves as a powerful statement about Lowe’s commitment to investing in education and the next generation of builders. We’re incredibly grateful for their support.”

The donation was made through Lowe’s Hometown Hero’s program, a five-year, $100 million nationwide revitalization program.

“Lowe’s is dedicated to the development of skilled trades education and closing the skilled trades labor gap,” Lowe’s District Manager Shane Thompson said in the release. “Through donations like this one today, we are able to support local community organizations and expand the Enzweiler Building Institute’s capacity to serve.”
